Duties of Care in Cybersecurity
This project aims to answer the question of whether and to what extent providers of ICT-based products and services (including producers, software developers, Internet Service Providers, distributors and retailers) have legal obligations to ensure the security of these products and services to end users. The kick-off of this project concerned a study commissioned by the Dutch Cyber Security Council as part of the National Coordinator for National Security and Counterterrorism (Grand awarded to the Research Centre for Business & Law, Radboud University, the Netherlands). Currently, the research is carried within the first pillar of the research programme of the Tilburg Institute for Private Law (TIP)
